Formation and Community Gatherings

We are committed to spiritual and communal gatherings outside of our corporate worship service that promote and foster the values of being Christian.
Our shared liturgy shapes and sends us into a Monday through Saturday faith.

Spiritual Formation at Christ Church

Home Parish Communities

CCA practices the belief that a flourishing community of Christ-followers is sustained by an authentic love of God and Neighbor. As such, we are committed to the provision of Home Parish Communities - multigenerational subgroups of the corporate church community.

Grounded in the Book of Common Prayer and the rhythms of the liturgical church year, Home Parish Communities gather to eat, pray, and share stories. Home Parishes are the communities in which we model and multiply God's love and care for our neighbors.

For more information, or to join a Home Parish Community, please contact us. Home Parishes will be meeting next on Sundays during the season of Lent, from February 17 through March 24th.

Rooted: Exploring Spiritual Practices

Did you know there are many ways to pray? Rooted is a time for us to explore various forms of prayer toward a deepening life with Christ and each other. Our prayers will be centered around our liturgical rhythms and end with Compline.

This year we will explore various forms of Lectio Divina, Imaginative Prayer, Centering Prayer, and the use of art in prayer. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by clicking the button below.

Community Gatherings at Christ Church

Women’s Book Discussion

“CROC” is a monthly gathering for the women at Christ Church. Join us the 2nd Monday of the month to share about the book(s) you’re currently reading or one that has recently impacted you. Or simply come to enjoy hearing from others!

Exact meeting dates for CROC are listed in the event calendar below.

CCA Camping Trip

Join the CCA community for a week-end camping trip, Friday, May 24 -26, at Yankee Springs Recreation Area. Pitch your tent for one night or two. Activities include: Saturday group morning prayer, Saturday night potluck (all are welcome if you are camping or not), and lots of available recreational activities within the state park (mountain biking, beach/swimming, fishing). Campsites are "rustic" (tents only, vault toilets, water pump, picnic tables), but you can access the showers and running water at the modern campsite facilities for $5 per person. Click the button below to reserve your spot!

Men’s Guild

Men’s Guild is a monthly gathering for the men of Christ Church to foster connection, growth, and engagement with one another as we draw closer to Christ. We normally gather the 4th Monday of each month.

Exact meeting dates for Men’s Guild are listed in the event calendar below.

Pentecost Picnic

Make your calendars for May 19th because Christ Church is celebrating Pentecost with a picnic! Happening right after service in Roosevelt Park (the park next to the Potter’s House). Christ Church will be providing the main dish.

More details to come!
